The agreements for using Joelu. Short where possible, precise where it matters.
About Joelu
Joelu is offered by MomPlan, a sole proprietorship registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 99587513, reachable at support@joelu.life. Joelu is a learning game for children aged 4 to 7. The account belongs to a parent or guardian; settings and purchases sit behind the parental gate. One account is meant for personal use within one family, with up to three child profiles.
The free part
The village and the Starter Meadow are free to play — no payment details, no time limit and no account required.
Joelu Plus
Joelu Plus opens every land and every school year, for all child profiles on the account. There are three options: Monthly (€ 4.99 per month), Yearly (€ 39.99 per year) and Lifetime (€ 59.99, a one-time purchase — not a subscription). The exact price can differ per country and is always shown in the App Store or Google Play before you buy.
Automatic renewal
The monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the same price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged to your Apple account or Google account within 24 hours before the period ends. Cancelling happens in the store, not in the app: on iPhone and iPad via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, on Android via the Play Store → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Free trial
If a subscription offers a free trial, its length is clearly shown at purchase. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it automatically converts into the paid subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited the moment you purchase a subscription.
Paying, restoring and refunds
Payments run entirely through Apple or Google; we never have access to your payment details. On a new or wiped device, restore earlier purchases with “Restore purchase” in the parent area, signed in with the same Apple or Google account. Refunds run through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play, under their terms. Your statutory consumer rights always remain intact.
Your account
An account is not required to play, only to sync progress and tie purchases to your family. Keep your login details and the parental-gate PIN to yourself. You can delete your account and all data at any time from inside the app.
Using the app
You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use Joelu within your family. Reselling, renting out, copying or modifying the app, or using its content commercially, is not permitted.
Liability
Joelu is a supplemental learning game, not a replacement for school or educational advice. We do our utmost to keep the app error-free and available, but cannot guarantee it. Our liability is limited to the extent the law allows; nothing in these terms limits your mandatory statutory rights.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by Dutch law. Questions? Email support@joelu.life.
